Houyhnhnm

Houyhnhnms are sapient, eminently civilized horses from the remote, isolated island of Houyhnhnms Land. Cool and calculating, Houyhnhnms value reason and logic and disdain emotion, not even mourning their dead. Houyhnhnm society is caste-based, with horses with darker fur at the top and lighter hair at the bottom. Houyhnhnms that embrace their emotions are viewed as eccentric, and may face osctracization or even exile if they act on those feelings too often.

Ability Score Increase: Your Intelligence increases by 2 and your Strength increases by 1.
Age: Houyhnhnms reach maturity at around 10 years old and can live up to 75 years.
Alignment: Houyhnhnms are driven almost entirely by reason and naive morality. The overwhelming majority are Lawful Neutral.
Size: As a horse, your size is Large.
Speed: 40 ft.
Languages: You can speak, read, and write Common and Houyhnhnmese.
Houyhnhnm Dispassion: You have advantage on saving throws against being charmed and frightened.
Hooves: Your hooves are natural weapons, which you can use to make unarmed strikes. When you hit with them, you deal bludgeoning damage equal to 2d4 + your Strength modifier, rather than the normal damage for unarmed strikes.
Facts and Logic: You are proficient in Persuasion. In addition, when you make a Persuasion check, you can choose to use your Intelligence modifier rather than your Charisma modifier.
Horse Hands: Despite having hooves rather than hands, Houyhnhnms are able to manipulate objects with surprising dexterity by clutching them between the hoof and pastern of their foreleg; however, this manner of holding objects is unsuited for the rigors of combat. You gain the following traits:


Trampling Charge: If you move at least 20 ft. straight toward a creature and then hit it with a hoof attack on the same turn, that target must succeed on a Strength saving throw (DC 12 + your Proficiency Bonus) or be knocked prone. If the target fails the saving throw and is knocked prone, you can make another attack with your hooves against it as a bonus action.
