Vanara

The Vanara are the monkey-folk of the rainforest, brave and loyal but brash and mischievous. Most make their homes in small treetop villages, though larger communities often take up residence in ruined cities or temple complex built by other peoples. There are many different tribes of Vanara, which resemble different kinds of monkeys. They tend to be playful and curious, and enjoy tricks, jokes, and games of skill.

Ability Score Increase: Your Dexterity increases by 2 and your Charisma increases by 1.
Age: Vanara have lifespans similar to those of humans.
Alignment: Vanara tend to be mischievous and independent but also value loyalty and friendship. They do not innately tend toward any particular alignment, but most are Chaotic Good.
Size: Vanara rarely stand taller than 5'6". Your size is Medium.
Speed: 30 ft.
Languages: You can speak, read, and write Common and Vanarese.
Natural Climber: Your climbing speed is equal to your base movement speed. In addition, you are proficient in Acrobatics.
Prehensile Tail: You can grasp things with your flexible, prehensile tail. It has a reach of 5 feet, and it can lift a number of pounds equal to three times your Strength score. You can use it to do the following simple tasks: lift, drop, hold, or pull an object or a creature; open or close a door or a container; grapple someone; or hang from a tree, beam, or other point of purchase. Your DM might allow other simple tasks to be added to that list of options. Your tail can’t wield weapons or shields or do anything that requires manual precision, such as using tools or magic items or performing the somatic components of a spell.
Opposable Toes: Thanks to your opposable toes, your feet are as dextrous as your hands. Any tasks that you would normally perform with your hands, including wielding weapons and using tools, you can also perform with your feet.
Monkey See, Monkey Do: Vanara learn best by imitation. When you make an ability check or skill check using a skill or tool with which you are not proficient, you can add half your proficiency bonus (rounded down) to the roll if you have seen that skill or tool used within the last minute. You can use this trait a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier and regain all uses when you finish a short or long rest.
Speak with Primates: While speaking Vanarese, you can communicate simple concepts to non-human primates, including apes, monkeys, lemurs, tarsiers, and lorises. You have advantage on all Charisma checks made to influence them.
